hello all and thanks in advance for any/all advice. I have a 98 SL2, yesterday when I went through a drive through, I rolled the driver's window down, and when I went to pull away with my whopper and fries, the window would only roll back up about two inches. it does go up and down in the 2", but won't go all the way back up, even if I try and pull on the window when I'm rolling...
where do I start? |

First get some sort of lube and lube the front of the door glass and the rear of glass were it goes into weatherstrip, spray wd40,silicon spray right into the slot the glass rides up and down in. Front and rear. gently roll back and forth, look and see if when it just starts to stop if it is binding in the front or rear of the glass. Thats were to start. and easyest.

Does the window stop even though you are able to continue to crank? If so, pop the outer doorskin. I suspect you have a broken slider block. It's a small black plastic piece. If I'm right, when you get in there, it'll be obvious.
...
There is nothing more frightening than ignorance in action. |
