Default Performance Chip?

Anyone know of a manufacture that makes such a chip for any Satty's? I have not heard of anyone that makes one. Anyone know?

Sorry man, look at the threads for PCM hacking.

Your best bet depending on what you want to do, is an A'PEXi S-AFC and a MSD DIS II. If you are not running Nitrous or Forced Induction then you really don't need the DIS II.

Hopefully one of us here it the Saturn performance world will sucessfully hack the PCM.

Just a word of caution. First the Saturn PCM is not really "chippable". The OBD I uses an EEPROM but it is not removable unless you de-solder it.

There is an aftermarket PCM tuned by JET, but it has been DYNO tested, and the results were a LOSS of one peak HP.

If/when the saturn chip mod is finished, its going to require a special cable, laptop, and software. Upload new code into memory, and there you go. Since there is nothing special about the OBD port, a small microcontroller with two serial ports and a small EEPROM to copy over might be more useful for people wishing to upgrade their cars.

This means that the upgrade is not going to be a cheap one, since you will be paying for the cable or special hardware in addition to the R&D costs and large profit margin.

Talk with John Mcquay at saturnspeed.com

He's used it and I believe even has installation instructions on his website.
