When ever I apply brakes there is a knocking sound from the front of the car. Any ideas what this could be before I take it in to look at? Thanks

Does that sound only happen when you're in reverse? Mine has had that happen since as long as I can remember, 5 years+.

No it happens driving fwd and application of the brakes...I am not familiar with the front end parts but believe it may be a worn something.

I think this is probably a bad disk. The cause will probably be obvious when you remove the front wheels and inspect the brakes.
