It appears some European Astras have the QUICKHEAT. This looks to be a 1000 watt Electric Auxiliary heating system to quickly heat the passenger cabin in the winter. Maybe only sold in cold climates?

Was this an option in the US or Canada? Has anyone retrofitted?

This looks like the parts list. Might require reprogramming
