Re: Fault Codes 221 and 1526

Red cap is on there. I removed it and tightened the schrader valve, which was snug at best. No more leaks. Not sure how this correlated to the throttle body change. I'm guessing it didn't and it's...

Re: Fault Codes 221 and 1526

Thanks for the post.

Changed to throttle body in about 45 minutes. New gasket. Torqued to 71 in lbs. Ran the sync procedure above. Could hear the throttle plate movement. Completed in less a...

Fault Codes 221 and 1526

I'm getting fault codes 221 (TPS) and 1526 (TPS setup procedure). Looks like this 2002 LW300 3.0L requires replacement of the entire throttle body. It's a GM only part too ($230).

Anything I...

Re: Sudden loss of headlights

Anybody figure this out? I just had the same thing happen on a 2002 LW300. Both bulb filaments blown at the same time. Easy to fix but kinda risky if it happens while driving.

Like the OP, mine...

Re: another revisitation on old actuator trick

Oh, for the days the blend doors were simply cable driven!

Car is in FL so recirculation when using AC is helpful. I need to fix it. However, I may wait until cooler weather to take it out if I...

Re: another revisitation on old actuator trick

Is there an aftermarket source for these actuators?

It appears I may need a 22732652 for the fresh/recirculate of a manual system in an 02 LW300. There it a knocking noise behind the radio when...

Re: Finding Certified Saturn Technicians

Chevy dealer couldn't find this TSB. I provided a paper copy to Buick and they were able to find it. They applied it for $135, cleared the SES light and the Vue passed emissions after 120 miles of...

Re: 2008 Vue with Bad Battery?

Sorry. Missed this post. I've not tested the new battery but the Vue has had no further issues with this battery problem.

It still threw the ABS brake sensor codes so I put it in the shop....

Re: 2008 Vue with Bad Battery?

NAPA tested it. 12.04V and 523 amps. Should be 650 amps. Battery showed it should be charged and retested. The Vue had just been driven over 100 miles, which should have charged it. So.......I...

Re: 2008 Vue with Bad Battery?

I'll take the battery to NAPA and have them test it. I see their batteries are made by East Penn Manufacturing, the makers of Deka batteries. I'm getting 10+ years out of Deka two year marine...

2008-2010 Vue AC Compressor Conversion

In the process of repairing the AC in a 2008 Vue XE 2.4L, I learned that GM used two compressors on this vehicle. GM compressor 19130316 was discontinued and replaced with GM 20918603. The problem is...

Re: A/C pressure switch & tranny dip stick ??

Circling back on this one. I replaced the compressor, condenser/drier, two hoses, and expansion valve. Flushed the evaporator and remaining hoses. Evacuated and charged with 20.2oz of R134a measured...

Re: A/C PAG Oil Capcity Chart?

I plan to put 4oz back in the compressor, 1oz in each side of the condenser (drier is built in) and 1oz in evaporator. If someone comes forth with a different capacity, great.

Calling GM is bit...

Re: A/C PAG Oil Capcity Chart?

Thanks. I found that one too. Only goes to 2004 and I have a 2008. May be different.

Compressor came with PAG 46 in it. I'm flushing the system so I can use PAG 46 easy enough. Question is, how...

A/C PAG Oil Capcity Chart?

Re: A/C pressure switch & tranny dip stick ??

I don't recall the hi side reading. The low side being negative freaked me out so I shut it down. No sealer used to my knowledge.

Replaced the expansion valve. Took less than an hour. That was it....

Re: A/C pressure switch & tranny dip stick ??

Low side pressure isn't just low. It's about 25 negative. Similar to when the vacuum pump is evacuating. If I Google the symptom, the cause indicates a block on the suction side. The most common...

Re: A/C pressure switch & tranny dip stick ??

Is this the process to recharge a vacuumed system since jumping the low pressure sensor doesn't work in this case? I'm trying to charge a 2008 Vue 2.4 if it matters. Thanks.
