Re: 98 SC2 project. Drive for now, maybe rebuild later.

I remember seeing a richpin vid about getting the flasher unit from any GM car and putting it into the Saturn. It's the circuit thingie that when you hit the brakes, flashes three times quickly...

Re: Me and my saturns

It occurred more than expected on 3rd gens. Enough that it was notable and a "go to" during troubleshooting.

Was rare on other gens but of course theoretically, any gasket can leak.
If you hit...

I suspect a spousal SUV is also in my future, though probably a smaller one (don't need to tow). Wife hates getting in and out of the Saturn and Elantra as they are both low to the ground...

Re: 2000 Saturn SL2 cruise control installation

^ ^ ^
EDIT: ignore the above, I re-read the thread and saw you were talking about the cruise module being from a manual, not the BCM. So all the crap I typed out doesn't apply to your case, lol.

Re: 2000 Saturn SL2 cruise control installation

You might be on the right track here.

A few posts ago, trottida mentioned the 96-02 S-series not needing a physical clutch switch because they instituted a virtual switch to detect when the...

Dex III or ATF marked as Dexron/Mercon compatible. There are some good synthetics that fall under the latter.

I think some TES295 approved fluids also...

Re: 2000 Saturn SL2 cruise control installation

One thing to note is that the BCM also is where the 3rd gen's mileage is stored.

So if you pull a BCM from a Saturn with 350k miles, your odometer will change to show 350k miles, once the new BCM...
