Check engine light came on this morning. Scanned it, came back with a P0706 code. It mentions the transmission range sensor/neutral safety switch. It's about a $55 part if I want to grab it today, or...

Replaced belt, ac compressor, belt tensioner, plugs, wires, brake line that rotted out, and two hubcaps on my 96 SL1 (had some hyundai hubcaps on it lol).

Thanks for the step-by-step, never really messed with the cooling system much till now!

Finally got the belt off today, ac compressor was shot, belt tensioner not far behind. Junkyard compressor...

Even a late model SL1 is still a 20 year old economy car. Its price should reflect that. If it's mint, well maintained, one owner, then yeah, that's a solid price.
