Re: '02 L200 gauges/lights/horn went crazy

Make sure the grounds are clean. Also, double check the cable for corrosion. It happened to my wife's car.

Re: TCM to Trans range switch wiring diagram

Funny thing, found the output speed sensor wiring chewed through. While working on figuring that out, the fuel pump died. This is getting ridiculous....lol.
After I fix the wiring, it should be back...

Re: opinions on spark plugs ?

A small amount of anti-seize is fine. What happens is that people slather it on with the thought that more is better and it gets on the electrodes and causes misfires. You'll be fine.

Re: 2004 L300 right front noise

So it was someone who put on cheap brake pads and not the car itself.

Re: TCM to Trans range switch wiring diagram

Those worked. Thanks again.
It is running well and the trans shifts like normal.
Even with the rubber cover over the TCM, chipmunks managed to pee all over it and it caused the connector to...

Thumbs Up Re: TCM to Trans range switch wiring diagram

Thank you Dryer, I knew someone had it. It helps greatly.
Curious, would you happen to have the TCM connector diagram? I want to make sure all the connections are correct.

TCM to Trans range switch wiring diagram

I replaced the TCM harness due to some corrosion issues at the TCM connector. Now I have a P0705 code that wasn't there before. I believe I have a couple wires crossed, but need the wiring diagram to...

Re: 2002 L300 A/C question (not a leak, I think)

Over time and use, both R-12 and especially R-134 will slowly leak out through the hoses and seals. I just added a 12oz can to my my mom's 98 Malibu. It did the same thing, the compressor would kick...

Re: L- Series intermittent no start

I don't believe it has anything to do with what is wrong with your car. You sound like you have a bad CPS(crank position sensor). My wifes car did the same thing. The sensor is on the front of the...

Re: Engine stalled on interstate - now rotates but won't start

It is an interference engine. If your lucky, it only jumped time a little bit and didn't bend the valves. However, it most likely did. Pull the head and have it checked out.

Re: cam cover gaskets

Just the upper plenum, but the lower intake manifold can stay. The radiator does not have to come out.

Re: Surging at Idle

While in there, clean the throttle body out. It will make a difference on how it runs at idle and it will accel smoother. The stuff from the PCV have collected on the throttle opening and blade over...

Re: Engine identification

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I caught it really fast on her car. The bearing hadn't locked up yet and the belt hadn't begun to come apart. I have no material in there like on yours.
Also, it...

Re: bcm replacement issues

Interesting. I, however would rather not put a used unit in and roll the dice on how long it lasts. Just me.

Re: !!! Grinding noise !!!

We both agree that the logical place to look at would be the right front wheel bearing. When you take a left, the weight shifts onto the right front wheel bearing and you hear the noise more.

Re: no crank problem

It does sound like the ignition switch is faulty. That is assuming the yellow wire isn't broken between the ign sw and the neu/safety switch.

Re: Engine identification

Midway, My wifes car did exactly the same thing over the weekend. Got lucky and it didn't lock up so the belt is still good. Only about a year old.:upset: Looks like it doesn't matter which one you...

Re: Engine identification

Yes and no. You need the whole tensioner assembly to replace it with the newer one.
I replaced just the tensioner a year ago and it started to come apart the other day. So I am going to get the new...
