If I were you,, I would start using synthetic pennzoil motor oil ( 5/30 platinum) and a wix oil filter, I would buy lucas oil supplement and change the oil adding about a 1/4 of a litre of the lucas...

If you want your Ion to last longer, i suggest using synthetic motor oil and changing it every 3000 miles or whenever it gets black, I am using pennzoil
