You mean from an actual soup can? Because the only can I see have ridges in them and are not smooth. Seems like it wouldn't make a good seal.

but I have bigger problems anyway....did a compression...

I have not gotten an egr code (32) in a while. only 41 and 42 at one point if that matters

95 manual sl2 was running poorly.

Blocked of EGR valve and it drove like never before. Had some loads of power back, ever more than when I replaced the catcon 2 years ago.

Quick question: Does some type of grease or something go on these things. Im getting 41/42 codes in hot weather and rough performance. Ive taken them off in the past to clean with wire brush.

Thanks. No it's the normal weight for the car. I'm not second-guessing you but how safe is blocking off the PCV? I'm seeing some delete plugs, should I use one of those instead of a rag?

I eventually started to just drive the car again after it started again immediately after just replacing the crankshaft sensor (unrelated by forum consensus) and it hasn't stalled since. I never got...

Just so I give 100% of the info: I saw a a richpin vid where he demonstrated the spark test at the coil but he only showed 4-1. So I only tested 4-1. Could 2-3 not have been working before I swapped...

Like I said, I had spark but I replaced the crankshaft sensor with my spare laying around and it started up. Does that sound right?

Thank for replying. I will look at that.

It didnt die every single time but when it did it would be mere moments after coming to a complete stop.

I think I even have some crankshaft sensors...

I know the pic is sohc but if it is the same on my sl2 (which I can barely tell) how easy is it to remove? Had another coolant leak and this hose was spraying it out through a hole I THINK this...

... is there any other maintenance I should be doing while the valve cover is off? Cleaning the old stuff off tonight and will finish replacing int the a.m.

Also, some oil got down in the hole...

Ok thanks. Ive never changed the hoses in the 13 years Ive own the car. The hose coming apart wouldnt have worried me but it was the look of the hose. It looked as though it had expanded at the point...
