Re: Intake Resonator Removed and Rearward Muffler Exhaust video

Here's a video of mine with short ram intake 3" open headers from the block back dumped just behind the rear diff (no cats or mufflers):

Re: Intake Resonator Removed and Rearward Muffler Exhaust video

The stock piping is already 2.5", and all of the restriction comes from the cats & j-pipe. All 3 mufflers are straight-through design. If you mean to get rid of the drone, 2.5" exhaust exiting behind...

Re: Recalibrate Speedo

Tech II can only adjust to a few pre-programmed tire sizes - you can not adjust it to read say 7% under. A piggyback ECU is probably the only way to go. That or live with it.

Re: Trans failure?

IMO unless you're really motivated to fix this yourself, sell it for parts and get something newer.

Vue Parts

I have a parts Vue (2004 V6 silver) that I bought for the engine and stock bumpers, and I have a bunch of interior/misc parts left over. Anyone need anything? Wiper motor, dome lights, window motors,...

Free: Custom Rear Bumper

If anyone wants it, I'm giving away my custom bumper for free (just pay for shipping if you don't live near grand forks). You will need to shave your rear quarter panels slightly, and you'll need to...

Re: Quest for better MPG

I would use a dimpled floor underlay, that would be more aerodynamic and would help to reduce road noise. If you look under a newer Jetta, that's what you'll find they use. Note however that VW only...

Re: Quest for better MPG

On the report I was referring to earlier, Ford saw a 5% improvement from removing the side mirrors. The blog you were reading was probably a very optimized Geo metro or Civic that was already getting...

Re: Transmission!

Tune it with what? Hondata will not touch the Ridgeline/Odyssey ECU (I've been through all of that lol). Plus I don't know why you would do that when for a little more money you could have a...

Re: Quest for better MPG

Awesome, can't wait to see the results! Ford saw a 30% improvement in fuel economy by lowering the Fusion 6 inches, so I'm optimistic you'll see a noticeable difference. A grille block gave them an...

Re: Quest for better MPG

Plug in the numbers and see what you can get. Aero mods will definitely get you to 26 (even 30+ if you want), but the fuel savings will...

Re: Vue Rear-Ended: Energy Absorber Question (w/ Pic)

Does not exist on the Vue... The steel rebar is designed to crumple and save you.

Re: *sigh*

Looks great! Good call on the Silicone vs JB Weld. Whereabouts in Canada if you don't mind me asking? Looks like New Brunswick if I had to guess.

Re: Building a CAI for a 2.2L

It's for the 3.5, and I was wrong the filter is behind the fog light with this one as well.

On the V6 you have intake air temp sensor, and...

Re: Vue Rear-Ended: Energy Absorber Question (w/ Pic)

It's Styrofoam with a fancy name, and doesn't do anything except offer the plastic bumper support so it doesn't rattle. Not replacing it may affect the fit of your bumper depending on how badly it...

Re: Building a CAI for a 2.2L

The first one is for the V6. I believe you also have two different styles of intake here. The first one has the filter in the engine bay, the last 2 have the filter behind the fog light. The easiest...

Re: After math of the hurricane....

Where I live if the floor was filled with water it's an automatic writeoff... You can't be sure the airbags will deploy and you could spend years with mold problems.

What fdryer suggested is definitely your best bet. Auto part stores sell something similar to that already, it looks like this: http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/Drainrepair.php

Re: my mods on my 2002 vue

Sabb did have a turbo car with the 3.0L motor, but your best bet would be custom. At the end of the day it would be way cheaper to sell your Vue and buy a 3.5L which can easily make 300whp naturally...

Re: Just a Thank You

Just go to Walmart and have them mount and balance your tires for $50.00. That manual tire changer is a lot harder to use than you think, and it's really easy to damage the bead and/or rims with it. ...

Re: ecm tuning 2005 vue v6 ja35a3 http://www.drivewire.com/vehicle/2005-saturn-vue/ec

The link got cutoff:
http://www.drivewire.com/vehicle/2005-saturn-vue/ecu-upgrade-kit/

It's a scam and a waste of money. For that price you could buy a real piggyback ecu anyway.

It will be good for a couple uses. They're good until they're crushed to thin to seal properly and fluid leaks out. Honda would probably give you one for free if you ask nice enough.

You'll also...

Re: Here's an easy question for you guys

I just paid $80.00 to have a key cut by VIN and it was the wrong key. GM refused a refund, and I had to go to a locksmith and have him cut one from the same code. He said he doesn't understand how GM...
