Re: Coolant change + 100K mile service

for coolant, find a place that accepts used coolant (ask an auto parts store, or independent shop), and change it yourself. If you want to change to traditional 'green' (this was popular with the...

Re: First Engine Rebuild

if you're looking to turbo it, the low compression (8.5:1) single cam engine (dished pistons I believe, the twincammers got flat tops and I think they had 9.5:1 compression. Cylinder heads play a...

Re: G Force chip for 2004 saturn vue

turbocharging it would be a better idea than a chip.... but each to their own. If you want a 'fast' saturn, find an early (2-door) SC2 (they're the lightest) and boost it. 6psi tops with stock...

Re: 1996 SL1 - Cant figure out P0171

Baldwin or Hastings (same thing... kinda like Napa=wix) makes good filters, too. I had an oil pressure issue with a Fram filter... so yes those stories are true. Went from 0psi oil pressure to...

Re: Ecs off

Geez, I'd love to turn the nanny off. In my younger days (I'm only 26, lol) I had a Pontiac that'd light the tires for about 1 1/2 seconds with "traction control off" before it mysteriously lost...

Re: Bolt-Ons Help a Saturn Sky Red Line Prove it Has More in Common with the C6 Than

THey ~2002 opel speedster should have been the Sky Gen1.

No top- standard. Who the hell drives one of these in the rain, anyway? They're classics now, as are their pontiac clones....

Re: Intercooler tubes

I'd contact some companies that make parts for these cars, or get some stainless steel pipe and take it to a mandrel bend shop and have them do it (using your stock stuff for reference).

Be sure...

Re: using diesel oil ?

Use 5w 30 in your car, unless it sees unusually severe conditions. Even a decent 'dino' oil will serve you well for likely as long as you plan on owning the car, and likely well beyond. Modern...

Re: automatic transmission slippage

I've found wix filters (for my Jeep Cherokee) come with a cork gasket- they leak if not tightened just so. Also some wix filters (such as this tranny filter) was made in China. Not trusting stuff...

Re: intake help

Re: RPM Control Problems
