Re: B-Pillar rubber trim between the driver-side doors deteriorating.

Interesting. I didn't know they had their own version of Obama clunker program in Spain! What a waste!! Their goverment is def anti-car, and most of Europe too.

I do still see some old classics...

Re: B-Pillar rubber trim between the driver-side doors deteriorating.

It's a lot easier to get parts here lol. So many places to choose from. I should have spent more time looking for pieces prior to my travel, oh well.

I might give it a try with the local...

Re: B-Pillar rubber trim between the driver-side doors deteriorating.

Thanks for the travel wishes!

Interesting that the driver side gets more damaged, but it does make sense since that area there gets a lot of use with the door opening/closing so often. In my...

Re: Removing the Airbag Cover (Opel cover mod) question

Thanks so much! I can't tell if the way he handled the airbag was safe either, but at least he didn't blow away lol! So I'm gonna give it a try. The idea of using the nails to keep the clips open is...

Re: Removing the Airbag Cover (Opel cover mod) question

Gotcha, so in that case then I should be ok, since there's no power at all, and very small chance of static charge, plus I'm only removing the several tabs that hold the airbag onto the plastic...

Re: Removing the Airbag Cover (Opel cover mod) question

Thanks for the reply. The Airbag isn't installed in the vehicle, as I bought it from a seller. I'm kinda hesitant on what to do then. If I cut the clips (not much other option left) I'm gonna have to...

Re: Compatibility between opel astra and a Saturn Astra 2009

As far as fitment goes.

I've been doing a full euro conversion to my 5 door Astra. I'm replacing the front bumper with a VRX model bumper (from the 3 door Astra). This requires getting a euro...

Re: Compatibility between opel astra and a Saturn Astra 2009

I second Astrafasta. A lot of the euro parts will fit our cars. Problem is getting them in the US, which means you need to order from abroad.

I usually use Facebook marketplace (if I'm in the US...

Re: A travel channel I made featuring scenic drives from inside my Astra

Glad you like it! The sounds of the 1.8l are one of my favorite engine sounds. I had a bimmer with a 1.8, and it sounded good (with performance exhaust) but the Astra has a distinct sound.
