Re: LS Wiper Motors

I've changed the motor out 2 times with warranty motors from the yard. As I stated, I believe before, that I've tried everything to try and get my wipers to park and work on intermittent and still...

Re: A/C Hose Extension Tube Separation, To Compressor

Sorry, I got it with some heat. Another issue, after replacing this pipe from the line to compressor, on the right side top, it's been blowing seals or leaking after the engine and or the a/c is shut...

A/C Hose Extension Tube Separation, To Compressor

I need to replace the tube from the liquid line hose to the compressor, but won't separate from corrosion around the stud. My tube cracked at the top fitting to the compressor, probably due to the...

A/C Part Interchange

Why would a 2.2 engine and a 3.0 use different compressors and other parts ? I don't see the connection. Also if I'm correct, the 2.2 and 3.0 use different amounts of refrigerant as well. I believe...

A/C Condenser Fan Direction

Sorry again if this has been in another tread, which I assume it has. I thought the condenser fan was supposed to pull air in. Mine pushes out from the condenser to the front. That would fight the...

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

One of my thoughts turned out to be correct. Cause of the leak found by the smoke machine, the thermostat extension tube bracket broken. I bet the shop did it when they replaced the thermostat back...

Checkered Flag Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

The only issue is, a head gasket emptying the resv in 20 min ? Can a HG actually do that ? Seems a little quick for that type of leak.

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

Head Gasket. It's not coming from the pump. Confirmed by inspection with the cover off. That would be why the belt was dry. Welp, time to call the shop for diagnosis.

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

I guess I could run it with the timing cover off and see what I can find. Should have probably done that in the first place. It could take a week or more for the shop to get it in as busy as they...

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

welp, no car, again. Just as I thought, leaks like a b***h ! I have a feeling I'm going to be financing another car. First one in 25 years, if this is worse than a pump, which I doubt it's defective....

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

I got the pump off, and coolant went all over the belt and bottom pulley. I dowst it with some fresh water, blew the belt and pulley, and tensioners with the air hose. With my inspection findings, I...

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

:sleep:Correct, sorry. One thing I was going to add, the Starter couldn't come out thru the wheel well, there's no way. It looks like the exhaust may have to come down to get to it, It's buried ! I...

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

If I remember correctly, the pump is accessed from the right wheel well just like the starter ? I thought my Chilton's stated so.

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

Edit: I've also noticed a idle and shifting issue as well. I have to idea why that would be connected with this leak issue, but somethings acting strange. Also the cooling fan running for only a few...

Re: Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

I've never done a timing belt, and not sure I can. It doesn't seem to hard and I've watched video's on it. The leak's dripping rather fast from behind the CS pulley, running down into the shroud...

Water Pump Replacement/ Timing Belt 3.0

It states in my manual that if the coolant has been leaking on the timing belt, which I would assume it would have, the belt will need replaced. Ah, even if it just was back in Sept last year ? I'm...

No, it was just some site online. Don't know which one. Working at an auto parts store, I have the advantage to try parts to see if it fixes it without purchasing. I could just get a new one, go out...

MAF Torx Bit Doesn't Fit

What torx bit removes these screws ? All my Tamper bits don't fit, the center holes are too small. I don't have any others. Is it a certain bit ? I need to remove it to clean it. Thanks in advance.

Re: Flaps Inside The Blower Motor Bay LS2

never mind, I see what they are. Trouble is, the actuator's good, the recirc door shaft that opens and closes it is broken off. Must be a common problem, because so were the ones at the yard today,...
