Re: 2009 Saturn Vue Problems after replacing coolant temperature sensor

If you can, plug in a reader before starting to monitor coolant temps from before startup thru engine warmup. Cold coolant temps should reflect ambient temps after an overnight rest then start...

Re: DTC Code P0327 Knock Sensor

Racemysaturn4me, although P0327 applies to virtually every vehicle having a knock sensor, sometimes the error points to something related to the error; wiring, mechanical issues, actual pinging/knock...

Re: '05 Vue Radio - power but no sound

Is there a separate amp buried somewhere under the front dash area? Try following the speaker wiring from the radio. Some Saturn models like L300's have seven speakers (one in each door, two tweeters...

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

Let's see now. According to this thread's timeline, Krakyll started last October 24, 2020. It's coming up to a year since with zero results. I put a reference to a timeline as a way to point out more...

Re: Turbo kit

A discouraging but necessary hint from that site description of the turbo kit - "We offer 90 days warranty for this turbo kit if it is installed by ASE certified mechanic!" In other words, guaranteed...

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

Krakyll, this thread was started last year in October 2020 without any resolution, several opinions including political statements having nothing to do with automatic shift problems in your L300. I...

Re: Low trac warning after crash

Good knowing the car did its job protecting your daughter while soaking up the energy in the crash. Presuming the airbags didn't deploy which would be cost prohibitive to replace, front end damage...

Re: Engine head replacement 07 ion 2.2

The positive side of this is a great budget rebuild. Unfortunately, running at idle places zero load on the engine. Once loads are engaged, driving, expert engine rebuilders with extensive...

Re: Engine head replacement 07 ion 2.2

The noise may be from the bottom end, maybe connecting rod bearings. When the valves met pistons with skinny valve stems bending, the shock is sent everywhere. Con rods can bend/break, wrist pins may...

Re: Issues with camber for circle track

The combination strut length and the wheel hub bracket may be contributing to higher negative camber. Other than camber bolts for fine tuning, have you considered slotting the upper bracket mounting...

Re: 07 2.2 ecotech crankshaft

I think you were sent an incorrect crankshaft. Using rockauto parts images, your '07 uses an Enginetech part #104550 with what appears to be a missing reluctor wheel in the image. The view from the...

Re: '09 Aura No Crank, No Click, No Start

You might take solace from my personal experience. I parked at a local Target store about a mile away awhile back. When I came back from shopping, my wagon wouldn't start, no sounds from the starter....

Re: Engine head replacement 07 ion 2.2

In every timing setup of 4-stroke engines, cylinder #1 is used for TDC when both intake and exhaust valves are closed. With 4-stroke engines, two full revolutions (720 degrees) of the crankshaft is...

Re: '09 Aura No Crank, No Click, No Start

Did you try swapping relays to eliminate relay failure? Wack the starter with a broom stick a few times? If this gets the starter to crank the engine, you can drive home or to your chosen repair shop.

Re: '09 Aura No Crank, No Click, No Start

Actually, if you're brave and willing to crawl under the engine to find the starter, you don't need a second person. You're effectively starting the engine under the car by shorting the two terminals...

Re: '09 Aura No Crank, No Click, No Start

Whether or not your Aura uses a START relay as part of electronic starting as opposed to conventional starting with 12v supplied from the ign switch to the starter depends on knowing specific...

Re: 1997 SW2 Crank but no start, stuck on wiring.

This seems to point to a faulty pcm. A new crank sensor didn't change anything.

Re: ABS/TCS/ESC needed for inspection?

Re: Mixing orange and green antifreeze

Are you sure dexcool softens plastic? Radiator hoses and plastic coolant tanks as well as some radiators have plastic side tanks (Ions). If I'm not mistaken, early use of dexcool caused head gasket...

Re: Engine head replacement 07 ion 2.2

Someone else can answer your question about the valve lifters.

If you had found and mentioned bent valves, I think everyone would have simply said the cylinder head is most likely toast because...

I wasn't sure of third party code definitions and did see other sites with different definitions. It's nice having Alldata or Mitchell for accurate info.

Re: no-start issue; fuel prime/bleed?

If AutoZone is nearby, check if they have a (working) fuel pressure gauge for loan out.
