Re: Hindsight is 20/20 EPIC DIFF PIN FAILURE!!!

That is quite the spectacular failure for sure! I never spin my drive wheels so hopefully I never succumb to the same fate, but the car has 185k miles from other owners...

Re: Fuel Pumps

I'm late to this thread and don't want to highjack, but I was on RA this morning looking at fuel pump prices when I coincidentally came across this thread. I noticed the Spectra pump for $127 comes...

Re: Oil on 2 spark plugs

What do you mean by oil on the plugs? On the threads? Or on the electrode? If it's on the threads it's most likely the valve cover gasket leaking.

Re: adding a sunroof to a SC2

I would not recommend doing that. Anything you do will leak eventually. I doubt there has ever been a car produced with a sunroof that never leaked.

Re: Need opinions on odd steering issue

When the car straightens out and the wheel is still turned, is the steering wheel rotationaly floppy? As if the steering wheel was no longer connected to the front wheels and was just free spinning...

Re: Saturn SC2 Knocking really bad.

Um... I watched your video and your engine is done. You should not have ran it out of oil. And why did you take the valve cover off? And then start it? That makes a huge mess and is dangerous.

Re: Drastically reduced oil consumption...what worked for me

Yes they did, but both engines were entirely different. Buick's 425 was still the nail head design and the last model year that used it was '66. It was offered in the Riviera, Electra, and Wildcats....

Re: Drastically reduced oil consumption...what worked for me

Ford didn't make a 425... They made a 427, 428 and 429

The corvette had a 427 with 390, 400, 430 and 435 hp options...

Chrysler's hemi was the 426ci 425hp

Re: Remote Start Installation?

Don't mean to highjack the thread, but can this be done fairly easily with 93 sc2 5 speed? I know you'd have to work around the clutch safety switch and neutral safety switch, but I'm not sure how...

Re: 98 sc1 5 spd, 1 wheel spin

Agreed. They don't even teach how to drive manual anymore.

Re: Emergency seat belt anchor

I've thought about this but haven't found much info on the swap. I also would like the anchor for temporary until I can get the swap done.

Emergency seat belt anchor

Does anybody know where I could buy one? I've spent some time searching online but can't find any. If anyone knows where I could get one, let me know! Thanks.

Re: Help to diagnose a stumble/misfire under load and lousy MPG

Didn't read the whole thread so I'm not sure if OP's problem has been solved, but I was having a similar issue and thanks to OldNuc, it has been fixed. Turned out to be a broken CTS connector....

Re: Creeping Crud

My sc2 has 184k + miles and when I had the passenger wheel off to replace the tensioner pulley, mine wasn't that oily. It was more just dirty than anything. Maybe I got lucky?

Re: how many miles do you have on your saturn?

184,080 but my odometer stopped working probably 400 miles ago. Running great, oil consumption is minimal. New belt, tensioner, radiator, alternator, original clutch as far as I know. Hope to get...

Re: coolant system flush

Thanks guys. Before the radiator blew I topped it off with the green coolant which is what was already in it. What advantage is there to the universal orange coolant?
