fuses are made to melt once the current exceeds a certain limit, so for some reason there is too much current, so im sure you wouldnt see anything visually...maybe an aftermarket part you installed?...

well its a heat shield, it was put there to protect the battery from excessive heat, but if you look in other cars there isnt a heat shield and those engines get hot in there too, so im guessing...
