Re: P0420 code after new sensors/cat

Side story. Relatively early in my L300s life, around 75k miles, each upstream O2 sensor decided to protest. L300s are 3.0L V6 engines requiring four O2 sensors due to two exhaust manifolds. Both...

Re: P0351 07 Ion 2.2l

Here's an explanation from a search for P0351; P0351 is a generic OBD II trouble code, which means that it means the same thing for the Saturn Ion as it would any other vehicle. It indicates that...

Re: New to Saturn

I was interested in whether or not cable tire chains work in minimal clearance of Saturn cars. Thank you for the offer of first dibs on the rear cable chains but I'm good without need of winter...

Re: White Smog Can't Catch a break

Since the DMV addressed a complaint from a citizen, possibly an irate neighbor presuming their civic duty to inform the DMV of an arbitrary amount of smoke emanating from a vehicle without citing a...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Timing Belt Kit + Camshaft + Crankshaft Seals

BrandonKastning, can you take snapshots after the first engine rotation as suggested when reading tdc? Three snapshots. Then rotate the engine again for the second time reaching tdc and three more...

Re: 2000 LS2 Timing Belt Replacement

I've learned that the original 3.0L V6 engine was designed between GM and Saab then used in Saabs and Vectras. If I'm not mistaken GM then exported the Vectra with US federal mods for the American...

Re: 2002 SL1 - Reset Security - Car won't start

Over the years, several members found a way to disable GMs factory Passlock theft deterrent system - cutting the white wire on the three wire Passlock sensor in the steering column detecting ignition...

Re: 2009 Vue XE AWD 3.5l transmission feels like engine braking??

Unless you logged data on a normal engine to establish baseline values, how are you going to determine which sensors are faulty? Hopefully you have an above average understanding of each sensor and...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Timing Belt Kit + Camshaft + Crankshaft Seals

BrandonKastning, you're not wasting my time as much as insisting on showing repeated camshafts and crankshaft lock snapshots that isn't necessary at this late stage of your issues.

It's not...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Timing Belt Kit + Camshaft + Crankshaft Seals

Rj 2000 LS2, are you referencing TDC with crankshaft rotating every 360 degrees or the camshafts every 360 degrees? If referencing crankshaft every 360 degrees, TDC will not occur until 720 degrees...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Timing Belt Kit + Camshaft + Crankshaft Seals

I'm at a loss at this point. Since I or anyone else isn't there to physically see your work and observe you rotating the crankshaft to see timing marks realign, it's difficult to see any mistakes....

Re: A/C Compressor suction line washers?

Possible leak from service valve caps left loose. Service manuals state the caps are the primary seal. The schrader valves would leak if the caps aren't tightened with a good sealing washer or O-ring...

Re: Help I miss my key fobs

There are two ways of programming Saturn Vue remotes. Refer to your owner's manual for at least one method. If no owner's manual, try online search for GM owner's manual. The second method is more...
