The original problem was when the shift slector was put in Reverse, I had
to give it a little gas before it would engage and move back. If I let off the
gas while in reverse it would go back to...

Thank you taking my question.
First, I changed filter and fluid and parked against a tree for 35 minutes with a brick slightly against the gas pedal because at idle it wouldn't engage reverse....

said that 1995 to 2002 would work. I would have been very upset if I had

From what I've read here, you may not have a compatable tranny for
the sl2. At min. the PCM isn't right for a mp7 tranny. Search this site
for more info.

Changed trans. fluid to synthic, only 4.5 qt!

I'm doing the reverse slam fix. I changed the filter/fluid and used syn. fluid
but it only took 4.5 quarts. I found out the TC has old fluid in it. Is there
a way to blow out all 7 quarts? Whats...

Do a "SEARCH" on "torque converter stuck" and you will see a post
from Dr. B which has an excellent and easy check to do.

As for your other car, the vibration could be a bad tire, bad u-joint,...

and that were a little more expensive, but well worth...
