Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

Just saying it's easier than an oil change. If you're more comfortable letting a dealer handle it, that's your choice.

Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

What difference? Unscrew the drain plug. Put it back. Pour in the fluid. Any 10 year old could do that.

Re: 2010 Vue 3.6 V6 Head Gasket Job

Just posted a one sentence comment not specifically addressed to you but to the post itself. OP says he has rebuilt engines before so the process of head gasket replacement isn't new to him. He...

Re: How reliable are the 05 Vues?

Besides the frame rust mentioned, over 200K the transmission is the big ticket item to worry about. Could easily go another 100K or could go out in 10K. Usually not worth rebuilding at that point but...

Re: 2010 Vue 3.6 V6 Head Gasket Job

Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

FWIW, I did that on my first Vue without knowing any better. I did flush all the old fluid out if that matters, but in the 1000 miles I drove it afterwards before selling, it ran just fine. Never...

Re: 2 tires or Replace all four

NO NO NO. With a blowout at the rear you have no control and can easily spin out. With a blowout on the front, you can at least steer to safety.

Re: 2009 Vue AWD XE 3.5L Trans being rebuilt. <additive?>

Pick & Pulls get $250 for a transmission, or you could probably find a wrecked Vue at a salvage auction for $1000. Spending that much on a 12 year old car rarely makes sense unless it's something low...

Re: Help with choosing headlight bulbs

Sure it's not just the outer plastic housing that became cloudy. I run with $4 halogen bulbs and have no problem at night.

Re: 2004 Vue Redline sway bar bushings

If they snap, you can just remove the sway bar completely. The difference in ride is minimal.
