Re: Driver' s door indicator switch

Well then common sense and engineering decided not to work for one model year. Must be the new guy getting approval to put the door switch inside the door next to the door latch mechanism. Now I...

Re: Camshaft solenoids & filters

E8 appears not to be related to metric thread size from searches. You'll have to search for more info why to understand as this simple query opens a pandora's box of info. One search shows this screw...

Re: Aura 3.5 LZ4 bank 2 catalytic is toast - retrofit?

I think several issues surround catalytic converters in exhaust systems. Designed for long life, at least meeting new vehicle warranty, then continuing beyond new car warranty includes the exhaust...

Re: Power steering components diagram

Not an expert on power steering but there has never been a report within these forums of a power steering pump failure locking up to cause an engine stall. A general search of the internet may or may...

Re: 2001 SC2 air pump??

If you're comfortable poking around under hood with regular maintenance, you can try disconnecting the blower motor connections and applying 12v directly to it to see if it runs. If a burnt odor is...

Re: Oil leak

History may help but using a thicker weight oil may mask issues. If your oil consumption hasn't changed dramatically including blue smoke exhaust, it may not be any better using thicker weight oil....

Re: Saturn Ion - Reduced Power Mode&Misfire

200k miles on a 14yr old car and normal weathering can create age related issues like dry rot in wiring and plastic not covered in new vehicle warranty programs. Tread lightly on brittle wiring.

Re: Saturn Ion - Reduced Power Mode&Misfire

Without a second person helper, a brick pressed against the gas pedal should suffice. Approximating pedal position should correlate with throttle plate position by experimenting with several pedal...

Re: specifics on compression testing, P0301

P0733 is a SES error code, not wrench error code. As mentioned previously, unless you have a better code reader programmed to read every GM code (P, U, B, C types) like GMs Tech-2 or an aftermarket...

Re: Saturn Ion - Reduced Power Mode&Misfire

Year, mileage, any mods done for performance? Hard errors won't reset with battery disconnect or push button reset from a reader/scantool. All you did was disconnect battery power and the error...

Re: Vent tube from gas tank is broken

You have options. First choice would be replacing parts if they're still available. Try several GM parts online sources for oem parts. They'll display whether or not specific parts are available or...

Re: specifics on compression testing, P0301

If you don't have a better ($$$) reader or scantool to decode wrench light error codes, the cheapest alternative is repairing what's broke. If you can replace a burned out turn signal light bulb, try...

Re: Strange P0300 occurrence

Re: Was told I have cracks in my Front Differential ? Should I be worried? 04 v6 3.5l
