If that is the case then you don't need to remove the other brackets however...

Re: vanishing fuel pump

I'd also replace the relay. the only other way would be to wire in a test light or volt meter that you could leave in place so you could see the voltage and ground while driving and when it fails.

Re: worn crank = front main seal leaks?

The trick to getting them to seal is the balancer needs to be glass smooth. Most, if not all, replacement balancers are not smooth enough to promote a good seal.

Any replacement I install is...

Re: Mysterious rear suspension rattle

A lot of time a rattle like you describe is traced to the sway bar end links on the SL2's. The link my not be loose but if the ends are frozen it will give the same sort of issues.

Re: New Motor Mounts Are GOOOOOO!

Or just go to Rockauto and buy the solid rubber mounts that are similar to the OEM mounts.

As much as we hate to admit it our cars are obsolete and oem parts are getting difficult if not...

Re: 1996 Saturn sl2 automatic, solenoid click but no start

Put a wrench on the end of the crankshaft and rotate by hand.

If it turn then prob a bad starter

if it wont turn then engine is seized

Re: MP3 circlip behind seal: right or wrong?

it should be there and it is correct as is. The ends are bent in slightly in case the retaining ring ever needs to be removed such as during a rebuild.

Replace the seal and you are good to go.

Glad it's working out.

I think you have your sights set too low at 150k... I'd aim for 300K but that is just me
