Re: After 10 years and 5 months it is time say Goodbye

After 10 years and 5 months of dutiful service, my little polymer torpedo will be passed on to other hands. The supreme commander will be picking-up her first new car on Monday, 2013 Scion FR-S 6spd...

Re: Shock/Strut Replacement

No idea why they don't hold up, but that part# doesn't seem to last any length of time. The current set on her are almost a year old now and so far have held up.

Re: Oil Pressure Switch

Talking about digging up an old thread. It took 5 minutes to change it at the time. It was a tight spot to get at but I've done worse jobs.

Re: They finally recalled the key cylinder switch!

Manufacturers are not responsible for salvage vehicles. The legally wash their hands of them when the car is deemed to be written off as unsalvageable.

Re: '03 Ion2, Computer issue?

The coil pack and the ICM should always be replaced as a pair, one generally will take out the other.

Re: '03 Ion2, Computer issue?

Let's start off with the simple stuff. What kind of plugs did you install? Is the Acc. Fuse blown? When was the fuel filter changed last? Have you found the source of the large EVAP leak? Do you have...

Re: Shock/Strut Replacement

Rear shocks on these cars have a short life span. I made the mistake of replacing mine with Monroe Sensa-tracs, they only last a year give or take, at least they have a lifetime warranty. Spend the...

Re: Engine Control Module

The plugs aren't that bad for one. Two I'd fathom a gues you actually have an injector half plugged in the #4 cylinder, it's more common on the 2.4L, but I've seen a few 05 2.2L's that gone through...

Re: I replaced the front brake pads today using ceramic pads

John; Slider pins are an extremely tight fit on the anchor on these cars. When you install your new pin & bushing set, clean most of the grease out the anchor first. Then apply a light coat to the...

What did the rear shoes look like? If they are due I'd be changing now rather than wait.
