Re: Won't Turn Over II

As astrafasta said. You could have gotten a defective starter. In my case I had to replace the alternator three times in a row!!

First alternator off autozone lasted a month or two, and then...

Re: Adding Sport Button to Opel

What does the sport button do to our cars? Does it tune the ECM to improve performance?

Re: I need a 2nd opinion on this Astra

In the US, these Auras and the XR 18s are the best looking options out there. They even have the same aura rims across the pond, but only in 17" size, so our 18" Aura rims would be very unusual in...

Re: I need a 2nd opinion on this Astra

I've been trying to find 18" rims in Europe for over a year. I've used ebay.es, ebay.de and ebay.co.uk (you can use the same US login btw) and the main problem I've had is sellers willing to ship,...

I'm thinking of removing the paint to reveal the lip and spoiler better,...

Re: P065E code coming up again.

Let us know how it goes! I found a flex pipe on ebay for around 70 bucks, and I'm planning to get it. Mine doesn't smoke or anything, but these things are so prone to break.

Re: P065E code coming up again.

I think that may very well be the issue you're having! The flex pipe is very prone to break. I'm replacing mine as preventantive maintenance.

Was the seafom dripping from the upper connection or...

Re: P065E code coming up again.

If you want to do it yourself, you'll need an EVAP machine like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174768594084

there are cheaper ones, and some going for 20 bucks, but those are junk (tried one...

Paul, is part number 93199087 GM 93199087, for the rear sunshade or the rear side doors? Looks great on yours! I'm thinking of getting one.

Re: Bumper replacement

I have a pic of the crash bar in my NA Astra, and compared it with an euro one on a video in youtube, and our crash bars are definitively deeper. So, I reckon if one wanted to get a euro rear bumper...

Re: Hello! New Astra owner - upgrading to OPC

It's been a while since my last update.

Got a few more upgrades on the way here, and some already installed. I ordered a diesel snorkel part 55351756 (same as the VXR but cheaper!) to...

Re: Bumper replacement

I'm in the process of installing the lower rear bumper spoiler (the one the SRi has) and I noticed that our stinking bumpers are wider as the lip skirt wouldn't completely fit without some modding. ...

Re: Bumper replacement

The rear bumper on this Astra (assuming the 5dr) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVU4aYhkoCA looks the same as ours, (minus a few key differences of course). However, I haven't measured one up so I...

Re: Saw another Astra today...

I saw two here in Alabama a few weeks ago. The first one was a 4dr XR model. I waved at them, and they waved back lol.

The next one was a blue XR coupe that looked in great shape.

Oh, and I...

hey man, I might be interested in the floor mats. I'm thinking to go to ATL next week. How much do you want for these? I've no idea of what they go for.

Re: Need some advice

That's great you got a reliable shop. Keep us posted I'm curious what the issue might be. The Astras give me concern with the electric issues they seem to have at times.

Re: Need some advice

I can't help you much with this as I find electric work confusing, but this is definitely not a 1k job, let alone 3k. What a rip off! I'd take it to a small mom pop shop and see if they can diagnose...

But it's extra steps for something that can be done quicker and easier. After having replaced a fuel pump on an older E30 bimmer while on the way to FL, if the tank had...
