I don't know what clusters are going for at junkyards these days. But maybe consider buying another one to isolate the issue. You can quickly tell if its the cluster's problem if another one works...

Was wondering if anyone has themselves or seen anyone do a starter rebuild or cleaning on the S-series?

Did a couple google searches and didn't find anything specific to the Saturn starter motors.

I also just thought of sales tax on items, the parts have a sales tax that is 13% I guess depending on your state in the U.S you guys pay different taxes. That could be another reason it was more....

Yea I got very similiar quotes from other places. I have had work done with this guy before and he is quite honest in my opinion. So I decided to go with him, it cost just around 1000 after labour.

is a scrap yard exhaust a good option though. I talked to a couple who said that it would be more of a hassle to get the old one off and a used one on. Someone told me to get it spot welded back...

I believe the amp's parts are all solid state. A computer, whether a desktop or laptop is for the most part the same, but it has one or more hard drives and optical drive that contain moving parts....
