Re: E-15... what's the plan?

Kinda funny considering the same government was recently going to banthe use of corn in fuel because of prices and that it wasn't really doing anything for emissions.

I love this game.

Another Saturn In The Simpsons?

The Youtube algorithm likes to show me random things and this one was really out of left field:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBhBW-Y7bek

The user doesn't have info on the episode, so I can't...

Re: Front clicking and grinding when braking

I'd check all the brakes too. There's a rule when checking for bad wheel bearings that it's always the opposite side that you think you're hearing (not always true, but I've done it myself on...

Re: rattle can blue to match?

The thing about paint is that it's not about what the cap color looks like, but what the paint looks like out in the sun. You could get the exact paint you need, but it might still look off due to...

Re: Bad Ad points

I'm glad I didn't sell mine soon after getting the fuel pump in my truck replaced last summer. With the current gas prices, the truck has become my mule for things the car can't do and I only drive...

Re: Well.. it happened. Who needs a parts car in MI?

I had a '95 Grand Prix that rusted out both trailing arms. I could hit a bump and instead of the wheel going up and down, it went back and forth.

I only noticed it one day when I kept hearing a...

Re: Hard Start after it sits over night, no problem when warmed up

Sounds like my truck right now, though opposite. It'll start right up when cold, but after you've run it a bit, it's hard starting like it's starving for fuel. Silverado fuel pressure regulators...

Re: Let's talk steering wheels

I was just thinking about this the other day and wanted to ask a similar question, but mine isn't because the steering wheel is bad, it's because of the ridiculous layout causing me to grab hold of...

Re: Car Bucking at 3000+ RPM then sounds like misfire until it idles down

Tapping noise near the top of the engine, feeling of misfiring, still hearing it even after it's low idle.

I could be wrong, but that sounds like a bent/stuck valve to me. Strange that it would...

Re: Quick Checklist for better gas mileage?

I agree with Dummo, short trips/stop n go driving will absolutely kill gas mileage in any vehicle. You might not notice it once in a while, but if you're doing it daily, it really adds up.

I...

Re: Suggestions for wire passthrough on the firewall?

I found it :D

After watching the vid, I just went out and looked. They used a large rubber stopper to cover the hole. I should be able to find it on the inside and run the wires through it.

Suggestions for wire passthrough on the firewall?

After mounting my new driving lamps, I simply ran the wire around the inner part of the door near the hinges so I could at least test and make sure everything worked (don't want to hear how that's a...

Re: What makes the AC not cold enough?

Ho'kay. So. I discovered something recently about what's going on, although I don't know if it's actually causing the issue.

Side note, when I say the blower doesn't feel like it's blowing hard,...

Re: What's your favorite product to restore your dashboard?

303 is recommended for use on things like your tonneau covers. Found that out when dad got one for his Colorado and I asked what they used.

I'm sure someone is going to point out why I shouldn't...

Re: How big can rims be?

I figured I'd stay away from wheel spacers. I mean, it would look nice, but I could always get a slightly (more) offset rim too, but I don't want to go so far out that I'm burning up bearing every...

Re: How big can rims be?

Haha, not likely where I live. Michigan Craigslist is about dead when it comes to searching for anything. I don't know if people are just hanging onto things or what, but there's just nothing here....

Re: How big can rims be?

That gives me a better idea of what it might look like. I guess the difference between 15" and 16" for me is going to come down to price :D

Re: Fuel Pump Access Door / No need to drop tank!

GM seems to forget that they are allowed to have pump access through the back of the car. I've noted a number of Fords that have one built in. I even had a '95 (I think?) Mercury Capri that had...
