Re: Coolant and ATF change recommendations for Honda 3.5L motor?

I personally use Maxlife (Red bottle) and my tranny is shifting the same as it did on Z-1. I've read that a few others here have used it with good results as well. Lots of people on Honda boards as...

Re: 2006 Vue 3.5L Running Hot

I just checked that vacuum line on my Vue. It's not connected to anything, but it is supposed to be capped. It sure looks like yours is missing the cap.

Re: 2006 Vue Drivers Window Won't Work

I would check the switch before I would take the door apart. Try swapping the driverside switch for any of the others that you know that are working.

Re: Roof Rack Installation Fun....

Scrap the stand off bolt and purchase a longer stainless steel bolt. One bolt to anchor the base mount to the roof.

Re: fluctuating idle

I would start with cleaning the throttle blade. They can get pretty gunk'd up and staying more open than it should.

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue: All Cylinders Misfiring

I had the same issue a few years ago. Mechanic said it was a stuck egr. I now take it off and clean it every other oil change. Never had the issue again.

Re: Vibration while accelerating

Have you done a visual of the motor under hard revs? The front mount is dead center right under the radiator and would be the next thing i would take a look at.

Re: Vibration while accelerating

My passenger side mount was shot at 80k. The noise was coming from the passenger side and sounded like a loose heat shield. It was very noticeable in the lower gears at low rpms. There is rubber flap...

Re: To dye or not to dye, religious debate

I'm having the same oil leak that you're describing. I know that the leak is coming from the bottom half of the motor. Its not leaking to the point of having any oil leaking onto the garage floor,...

Re: Leaky oil cooler line on new radiator

If it were me, i would for sure try the teflon tape to see if it takes care of the leak. I wouldnt want to remove the radiator and wait for a replacement when tape could have taken care of the...

Re: Help me connect this hose!

If you can, post a picture of the hose just to be sure. Just be sure you secure it in an upright position as intended.

Re: Help me connect this hose!

Sounds like you're describing the transmission vent hose. If it is, it doesn't connect to anything, it just clips to the side of the fuse box.

Re: V6 Rattling noise - gone when warm

Not that big of a job. Just make sure to support the engine with a jack before taking the mount off.

I would. I replaced my original mounts at 80k with new Delco's when i replaced my shocks and struts. I'm kicking myself for not re-using them. The 'new" mounts started make noise after a month. Now i...

Re: Low Coolant Light Is On... But I'm Full

Whole tank needs to be swapped. It'll run you about $40-$50 for replacement tank with sensor.

Re: Ball joints

Yes, same part numbers. Be prepared to drill out the old rivets and jack up the vehicle high enough to get a drill under it. Unless you have a lift then it'll be cake.

Re: Weird brake issue, no fluid to caliper. Looking for advice

Sounds like your brake line might have collapsed. It's a know issue. Do a search and you'll have multiple reports of others having the same issue.
