Re: advertisements

Defender has an option to do an offline scan to clean the "pre-boot"

Re: The dreaded "what is that sound"

My 2000 made some strange grinding noises at low speed, after I got it 4 years ago. I installed a new MC, and new rotors/caliper/caliper guide brackets.
No noise since.

Re: One time overheat?

@ N147JK

The coolant, when cold, should be 1/4" - 5/8" below the seam
in the reservoir.

I had a VW engine which temp was very sensitive to reservoir coolant level;
in both my Saturns, it...

Re: 1999 SC2 lazy cranking

The slow crank after sitting 2 weeks suggests maybe some parasitic drain
on the battery when car is idle. My '97 had a 65ma drain. A year after a 'new'
Exide battery, I discivered that only 5...

Re: 99 Saturn SL2 ABS master cyl

I had a '97 with ABS - the Master Cylinder was connected to the ABS
mechanism with short OEM aluminum tubes maybe 1-1/2" long, and I think
these short tubes were about 5/16" or 3/8" outside...

Re: 2000 SL2 - repairs, or new (used) car?

As suggested by SRGW valve body renewals are a common cure.

But, might pay to change the filter and do a couple oil changes prior
to the valve body work. R & R of the electrical connector and a...

Re: This must be a supplier thing

On both my '97 & 2000 both lines were pretty similar. However, I Do
now recall that one (likely the inboard one) on my 2000 Did have a bit
more degradation, which I scraped off prior painting it.

it was intact. But near by, the plastic walls/ridges which support the ...
