Re: Replacement Seat Cover for an XE

I will reply to my own post just to close this thread out, sort of. Yesterday I received the seat bottom cover and it is an exact match. The pattern and fabric is for an XE and I believe it will fit...

Re: Bumper replacement

The crash bar would be larger, or more acurately deeper, on the N.A. Astras. This would be underneath the fascia and of course the outer fascia would reflect this. I remember someone sending me a...

Re: Replacement Seat Cover for an XE

I will make an offer on the bottom cover but maybe not on the seat back. That is if I can return it if the cover is wrong.

Re: Bumper replacement

A while ago I was looking for a top of the rear bumper protective strip to go on my XE5. There was one available on eBay from a European Astra. I when I inquired about it I was told it would not...

Re: Wiring near valve cover

Did you get it repaired by just spicing in a new section of wire? Going to a salvage yard for the larger section of wire with the loom and all would also be an option. If so did all the check engine...

Re: Replacement Seat Cover for an XE

Here is the backside of the cover. Note no map pockets which would confirm it is for an XE.

Re: Replacement Seat Cover for an XE

This sure looks like the XE cover, part # 13217292. It is described as for the left or driver's side.

Re: Bumper replacement

One thing to point is that are the Astra European bumpers are not the same as the Saturn ones in the States. The bumpers are slightly shorter and do not protrude out as much as our NHTSA requires.

Re: Replacement Seat Cover for an XE

Thanks for the information, I really like it when others step up help research for others.

The pictured cover is correct for my XE. And from what I have seen in diagrams and descriptions this...

Replacement Seat Cover for an XE

Can anyone confirm this P/N 13217174 for a 2008 XE bottom left (drivers) cloth seat cover? I have been looking at the GM parts diagrams for a while now and I have still not found one that confirms...

Re: Center Exhaust Section

Sorry for the delayed reply as I have been busy of late and not keeping up with this forum. The place in England that I bought my center section exhaust from had to cut it behind the muffler and...

Re: Floormats?

I checked the floor mats between my 3 and 5 door Astra and, not surprisingly, they are exactly the same in fit, form and function.

Re: Floormats?

I'll check tonight on the carpeted floor mats fitment between the 3 and the 5 door but I am sure that the rubber all weather mats (p/n 19165845) are the same for each model.

Re: Center Exhaust Section

The center section is made for both the 3 a nd 5 door.

Now the last section, the rear muffler, is different on the 3 and 5 door. The most visual, (and only?), difference being the exhaust tip.

Re: Center Exhaust Section

It cost about $130 for the part and shipping. They can be had, depending on the manufacturer and exchange rate, from $120 to $195. The Walker brand exhaust piece is the most expensive. Look on the...

Re: Center Exhaust Section

Bought one from England and got it yesterday. They had to cut it into two pieces as mentioned in my earlier post. It is Klarius brand GM597A. Here are some pics.

Re: Center Exhaust Section

Thanks for your response. The custom bending shops really give me the creeps because when I took my 1973 Opel Manta Rallye to one in 2008 to fabricate a system they butchered it. After the guy was...

Would you buy an Opel Astra grille from Alibaba?

Right now I am undergoing a budget rebadge on my XR 5 door. I have found four 64mm O.D. aftermarket Opel flash wheel center caps for the 16' alloys and an Opel emblem (56mm O.D.) that should go right...
