Re: 2004 VUE Code PO446 Evap canister vent selenoid

It's attached to the vapor canister under the vehicle. It's item #25 in this (https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/saturn/zl1-l/03/zl03-006/) diagram.

Re: Front Sway Bar Clamp Bolt size

I recently started a new parts job at a GM dealership. 11515767 is the part number shown for these bolts with the same specs I mentioned earlier.

Re: Front Sway Bar Clamp Bolt size

What source are you using? If your source is listing the part number you provided, then that's why you may not be seeing it. As I said before, I'm seeing conflicting information regarding this part....

Re: Front Sway Bar Clamp Bolt size

I see some conflicting information between parts diagrams. Some are showing the part number you provided, others are showing 11515767 as the bolt you're looking for. The specs for this bolt are M10 x...

Re: opinions/rear main seal leak

If your Stratus really leaks two quarts at start up, you have a much bigger problem than the OP. I sure as heck wouldn't be driving it in that condition. Trying any additive to stop a leak that large...

Re: opinions/rear main seal leak

You can try this stuff (https://www.amazon.com/ATP-AT-205-Re-Seal-Stops-Bottle/dp/B000NVW1LM), but ultimately the only real fix is to replace the seal. You certainly don't have much to lose by trying...

Re: 04 Ion - A/C is out - Where to start?

Make sure you're absolutely certain the compressor is working. They do have a high failure rate in these cars. Usually it's the the A/C compressor clutch that fails, but most people opt to replace...

Re: 07 ion starting problems

Yes, that is exactly the case. There were many notable changes to the 2.2L in the 2007 Ion compared to older models. They use a different ECM, throttlebody, and crank position sensor & reluctor...

Re: 07 ion starting problems

The 2007 Ion 2.2L doesn't have a separate ignition module.

Do the codes return after erasing them?
Does the tachometer work when the engine is running?
Do you know if the engine was ever...

Re: 2003 Saturn ion Hazard lights not working

The turn signals and hazard lights are controlled by the BCM and don't use a traditional flasher/relay. The BCM turns the corresponding lights on based on what resistance it sees in a circuit shared...

Re: Better braking??

Like goaliemo already stated, it's not worth the work to convert them. I'd just install new shoes, drums, & hardware & properly adjust them once. At that point, the new rear brakes will probably...

Re: Better braking??

There's no need to do a brake upgrade. Any good quality brake parts will work fine. The Ion's brakes are more than adequate for the car. You just need to make sure everything is in good working...

Re: 06 Saturn Ion 3 Sunroof Track Rear Guide Broken

The parts were never available separately. Surprisingly, the assembly (p/n 15912442 - same for all 2003-2007 Ions) is still available. You might get one cheaper from a junkyard, but it's somewhat of...

Re: 2004 Saturn Ion 2.2 constant p0442 code

It's not likely a false positive. Either you have a leak that hasn't been found yet or one of the parts is faulty.

The only part I don't see in your list is the fuel tank pressure sensor, which is...

Re: Manual Trans "Push-start" question

FWIW I recall my 2007 Ion (2.2L) being very difficult to push start when I had it. I only tried a few times, but I could only get it to pop off once at my parents' place which had a long hill to let...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio

After scouring through my attachments on this forum, I found a TSB that I uploaded on 7/21/2009 (link here (www.saturnfans.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15564&d=1248215513)) which states the...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio

As I already said before, these radios can't be locked because they don't have any anti-theft measures built into them (unlike the older ones that do). I'm sure the message saying it will come locked...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio

XM Theftlock is only applicable to the external XM satellite radio tuner (if equipped, it was optional) which communicates with the BCM. These radios actually don't have any anti-theft measures built...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio

The BCM and interior fuse panel are one in the same part. The radio's switched +12V power is sourced from output of the ACC relay before it is routed through the Radio (ACC) fuse. That relay is...

Re: 2005 Saturn Ion Moonroof

Unfortunately, if the parts have been discontinued your only option is to buy used parts off ebay or from a junkyard. The good news is that these motors don't fail very often and the Chevrolet Cobalt...

I didn't remember those radios failing in the Vue when I made my previous post, but I see now that it actually was a common problem. I actually posted in the thread in the top link you shared. In my...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio

Check your other accessories. Is there anything else that doesn't work? I'm just trying to rule out a larger fuse upstream from the radio fuse. The radio may have just went bad, but they're generally...

Re: 2001 L200 Audio Issues

That particular radio is a POS, but it's probably not the source of your problem. The best factory radio IMO is the double-din CD/Tape unit. Any radio from any 2000-2003 Saturn would be a direct plug...

I don't recall the username, but I'm almost certain I've seen pictures of her on here with some of her cars. I don't follow the S-Series section too closely though, so I could be mistaken. I...

Re: Wheel Bearing Repair Cost Range?

You're reviving a 10-year old thread so I wouldn't expect a response.

To answer your question, the SKF is a better option than a Timken or Moog bearing IMO. I wouldn't go as far as to say a...
