The bung for the O2 sensor was shot. I holesawed it out. I also cut out the one from the old '99 exhaust.

Excellent! I think I popped the part into the rod end, then you need a pair of channel locks to snap it on. There is some interference during installation which is what locks it on in use.

Those self sealing cans are tricky. If you screw them all the way in or out, no coolant flows. Gotta shoot for the middle.

I haven't had a chance to watch the video. Take off the center console and look at the cables where the connect to the shifter. Work your way through the gears with the engine off and clutch in. ...

I would check the shift cables and make sure you are actually getting first and second. You may be going 3, 4, 3, 4, 5.

Honestly I'd focus on basic maintenance. Let the car save you money and buy the hot rod you want. Just don't get it until you can pay cash for it. Credit debt is bad!

Good point. When we rebuilt the SL2 the aftermarket clutch really sucked. Back to an OEM LUK and it's beautiful.

I think I'd be looking at what got bumped or unplugged. Seems like a lot of codes unrelated to a clutch swap. How is the voltage? Old battery? Alternator output?

Pretend to be a drag racer. If the pressure plate spring is failing, the clutch will slip more easily.
