hi pierrot- interesting experience. my 01 L with the 2.2 4 has the chain which i replaced at 150k due to noise but it didnt bust and wreck the engine. quiet and runs fine since. approaching 192k....

hi lw- interesting question. mine is a 4 cyl. 01 L100 with 190k since new in 2000(not a v6 with rubber belt) . a few years ago my indy shop replaced its noisy timing chain, guide and tensioner....

hi sages- its the old profit enhancer secret trick. had the same issue 3 years ago . shyster wanted $300 to replace the factory hose and the "innovative" clamp. i was non plussed by the offer....

hi 02- would love to see that special tool you might have designed to remove that plug with the trans in the car. kind of ridiculous to have to remove a trans to access and remove the fill plug....

hi O2- i think the book calls for atf in the trans. so when you had the trans out and on the ground did you unscrew the fill plug with an allen key (12mm). do you have a way to do it with the trans...
