Re: 2008 Astra accelerator position sensor

IIRC, a lot of the issues are resolved by removing and cleaning the UEC and / or the pedal sensor.

Check out the US and UK threads for more information. The US engine is the z18xer and the model...

Re: Astra 45k mile service - inexpensive & runs like new!

Replaced Upstream 02 Sensor (GM GENUINE 93191307).

Cut the wires and used a huge 22mm socket and breaker bar to remove the old sensor. This one was easy to break loose. To protect manifold...

Re: I need a 2nd opinion on this Astra

Maybe the front struts will lower a bit after driving around a few days.

The back looks fine IMHO.

Search the forums here for spring and strut ideas. You likely need to import from the UK but...

Re: I need a 2nd opinion on this Astra

Looks sharp, especially the Opel cap fitment.

Some top-spec Euro Astras had similar rims, so no surprise they look good.

Re: Availability of an Exhaust Manifold

The "news" is just selling an agenda. . .

My only thought is car-part.com or a junkyard. I don't think they will lend you the part lol.

I wonder if the computer is modified for the Cali cat?

Re: C1233 Code - Front Left Wheel Speed Sensor Fix?

That may be "C1233 00 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Low Input". But it could also be the left, so you need to CHECK BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT.

Re: Front Struts and hardware availability issues

I have no experience with KYB. But given the Astra's rear suspension type and XE handling package, you don't need uber-performance springs. Or an optional rear sway bar.

We got the Bilstein's for...

Re: Replacing TPMS

Any recommended TPMS sensors?

Thoughts on the Schrader 28078?

Would the 28078 require a machine to "activate"? Would any programmable TPMS sensors require a machine to activate (even though the...

I think there is an unused plug at the drivers side top of the engine; common wire harness used for several engines. I'll check tomorrow if someone else doesn't get there first.

What are the...

Re: Should I junk my '08 Astra?

The hyper-inflation of 2021 changes the question a bit. Used car prices rose by 30%+ and decent used cars were very difficult to source. New car lots in our area are empty and the few cars available...
