Re: 2006 Vue 3.5L Running Hot

I had same issue on both 3.5 Vues. That big relay on the battery cage is most likely what failed on you. My Vues were eating them up once or twice a year. They would get too hot as the fan motors...

You will need to get 2 camber bolt kits. They are available on Amazon. Be sure to get the kits that match your vehicle.

Re: properly diagnose strut mounts?

Yes only with full vehicle weight. It sounds like it is coming from the strut bearings. No noise when bouncing vehicle up and down by hand. No noise when shaking steering wheel. I need to check one...

Re: 04 Radio power on/off with turn signals and brake application.

Check battery voltage with vehicle off and running. Is it cranking slow? The 3.5 Vue is very sensitive to weak batteries. They may test good, but may not have enough voltage to maintain current draw...

Re: 3.5 Alternator Failure

And the repairs begin....

I have replaced way too many parts on our 05 3.5. It seems to get worse as the miles pile on. Suspension, steering and electrical have been my biggest issues. Be ready...

Re: 2006 Vue Red Line Clunk Noise In Front End

All are relatively easy to replace. Use a jack with a block of wood under the oil pan and also a crow bar or breaker bar to shift the engine as needed. The skinny mount on the transmission is the one...

Re: Low Coolant Light??

One of my bad BCMs(on 3rd one now) took out that sensor when the BCM went bad. It actually took a transmission sensor too. I unplugged the connector from the fill tank sensor and put a paper clip in...

Re: 2006 VUE - AC Compressor

Also be sure both condenser/radiator fans are working. This will cause cooling issues @ idle. If the driver side fan is not working when having idle cooling issues, there is a relay mounted on the...

Re: 2006 Vue Red Line Clunk Noise In Front End

Great diagnosis! Go ahead and replace the other 2 mounts as many owners have needed to replace them shortly after.

Re: electrical issues before/after bcm repair

Here is a little word of wisdom for anyone experiencing the same issue. NEVER TRUST AUTOZONE!!!! The battery died last night. After replacing the battery all is good.

Re: 2006 VUE AWD V6*Transmission???

The rubbee transmission cooler lines can shread internally causing a valving affect where fluid would flow one way easily and not the other way. I have seen this on brake lines also.

Re: Steering wheel sounds like a goose honking????

Check the steering culumn linkage for loosness. There is a bolt that comes loose sometimes. The noise might be the steering motor chattering.
