Thanks for the reponse. Yup, checked with carb cleaner around intake manifold, etc. I also replaced evap lines from canister to purge valve solenoid and to the hard line for fuel return.

I just removed/replaced the cyl head from my 97 SL2 and did not have to remove the cams before taking out the head bolts. Just my 2 cents
