when you do start increasing horsepower, is it smarter to block the egr or no? and if you do block it, is there anyway of reducing the possibility of burning the exhaust valve(s)?

pull the fuel rail and injectors, lay out a peice of cardboard on the floor in front of the vehicle have someone hold the fuel rail (with injectors in it) facing towards the cardboard and crank it...
