Interesting the connectors are actually 2 pieces. A 6 cavity outer piece and a 13 piece inner. So really depends on what wire you need to put a new terminal on:

THink you might need to find a replacement terminal, put a wire on it then connect it with a standard butt connector to the chopped off wire. Have to get to the connector and let me know if you need...

There are two rather large rotating clips that hold it in the front. They are like dome topped. you have those? then I think it slips in a slot in the front on the firewall.

I also had some rust and standing water in the top of my struts in California. You think sealing the caps would prevent this?
