Re: Off Topic - Waiex 191

Having a Saturn is actually key to my aviation aspirations. I drive a $500 car and I built a $30K airplane. So called "normal" people are driving $30K cars, have no airplane, and pay someone to...

Re: 01 SL1 head gasket and upgrades

I'd say you are wasting your time. Best mod would be to put a dual cam engine in it - if you want the project. Over at sixthsphere.com there is a bunch more Saturn mod stuff going on.

Well, I'm a helicopter pilot too. We fly those from the right seat.

Actually I've been switching back and forth so I'm comfortable in either seat. Flying a stick with my left hand feels pretty...

Re: One time overheat?

Sounds wrong to me. The ECTS is mounted in the head - the hottest part of the engine. If you have no thermostat the engine will run too cold and fuel economy will suffer badly.

Maybe somebody has...

Re: 1995 SL 1 keep or rebuild

How much are you doing yourself? On our '99, machine shop and engine parts cost were $1400 in 2017. Here is my project thread:

I've never had a Saturn with an automatic. I think I've heard the automatic magnet mentioned before. Somebody who knows what they are talking about will be along shortly.

Did you take the RV to...

Re: Your favorite tires?

I have been running Primewells. Cheap, decent wet and snow traction (at least when new). My former Ram 1500, Buick Century, and '99 SL2 all have them.
