2.4L Ecotec: Same camshaft position sensors?

Are both the intake and exhaust camshaft position sensors the same on a 2008 Vue 2.4L XE (gas)?

Rockauto only lists 1 part under camshaft position sensor.

It is a simple repair, with one caveat.

MAKE SURE to remove the front one first.

Like the previous post mentioned, it is a T-15 Torx screw, just unscrew all of them. Then lift the front piece...

Soak your exhaust manifold studs/bolts with Kroil for a couple of days. You don't want to bust a stud in the head.

To soak them, you probably have to remove the heat shield, which could be a pain...

1. Ecotec shield piece. Pop off in front, then rotate to clear from the hinge things in back.

2. Air Intake. Use 8mm socket driver or flat head screwdriver to loosen both...

To reprogram a computer for my 2.4L 2007 Ion, the tech charged me $100. When they reflash it, they just right over everything there....

It is in the same mini-wire harness with the hood-latch-closed sensor. Just follow those wires straight down.

One of the wires to the ambient temperature sensor is green, the other is yellow.

In front of the radiators, between the radiators and the bumper skirt. If you look down from the top you can see a tiny thing with 2 wires going into it.
