Re: Flickering Dash - No dome/radio -wont start
To have a better understanding of major differences between S-series with F5 wiring problems and Vues with its own wiring might be reviewing wiring diagrams for both. The entire S-series from '91-'01...

Re: Flickering Dash - No dome/radio -wont start
If you are discussing the F5 issue in early S-series cars sharing this problem with Vues, no. Vues do not have the same wiring as S-series cars.
The problem you may have in your Vue may be...

Re: Opposite AC Problem than usual
Did the blower run whether or not ac was cold or hot? The blower motor moves air thru the hvac box (hot, cold or mixed). The ac system, when running, produces cold air for the blower motor to force ...

Is this the crankshaft pulley you're having difficulty putting it back on? When a crowbar was needed to remove it, the slip fit, keyed shaft and pulley tightened with a bolt prevents it from...

Re: Burning Through Throttle Position Sensors
I think you found the intermittent source of high idling - one of several vacuum lines deteriorating from dry rot, cracking open and becoming the erratic high idle problem. You probably wasted money...

Re: 4-Pin Relay Orientation?
All 87a relays are configured (no power to the relay coil) with normally open contacts (30 and 87). A command to send power to the coil closes contacts 30 and 87. Some circuits like the horn need...

Re: 4-Pin Relay Orientation?
You are correct about no ground on 30 or 87. My bad as I meant the ground connection is thru a resistance; horn, fuel pump, cooling fan, ac clutch, evap solenoid, fuel vent valve, etc. My apology as...

Re: 4-Pin Relay Orientation?
This may be a tricky question unless familiar with relay pinouts as long as the relay is keyed. There are two 87a relays; a 4-pin and 5-pin relay with the same four pins sharing the same pinouts;...

With service manuals, you have a better chance of solving this problem because of familiarity with wiring, knowledge of wiring diagrams, and ability to use a multimeter. Hopefully a solution is found.

Re: Persistent, Intermittent High Idle
If you are sure of iacv pinouts then you can apply 12v momentarily to either coil; one coil extends, the other retracts the pintle valve. One coil fails and the iacv fails; the coil that won't extend...
