My 2000 made some strange grinding noises at low speed, after I got it 4 years ago. I installed a new MC, and new rotors/caliper/caliper guide brackets.
No noise since.

I had a '97 with ABS - the Master Cylinder was connected to the ABS
mechanism with short OEM aluminum tubes maybe 1-1/2" long, and I think
these short tubes were about 5/16" or 3/8" outside...

began to rust after a year or two, while the ones from GM lasted...
