Looks like the current filter is an oem unit based on the numbers on the side. 21008019. And it doesn't look terribly old but I dont think they tend to rust like the rest of the underside does so...

I'm in MA so do deal with salt. But have run aluminized systems on several cars in the past without issue. Usually don't keep a car longer than a couple years anyway. Whatevers on now is plenty...

So I went ahead and pulled the intake manifold this evening. Actually not that bad of a job. Once removed I immediatly saw the spot causing the misfire. And it appears I cut too deep the other day...
