Re: How can I listen to 94FM radio in my car.

There it is! Was waiting for the reply.

The world sickens me right now, lol

I'm really glad my "computer will need to be ready to be ready" I hate it when it is just simply "ready"

Re: Log Books

Same here. Just looked at mine today, mice got into the drawer with my logs and chewed and defecated all over them :(

Re: Installing a Solar Battery Charger

I know these are simply spambots or whatever, and they have been discussed at length previously, but really, is there any way to stop these f&*kjobs from being approved to join this site? Very sad. I...

Re: Mysterious rear suspension rattle

Not really super safe (or legal) but what if you have someone drive the car while you are in the trunk? It might help to isolate the location better.

Did that once with a noise in my old...

Re: Hit 300,000 miles tonight

I think OldNuc used to say oil consumption increased a bit if you drove over 75 or so on an interstate. I do notice my consumption is slightly higher on highway trips than loping around town

Re: Paint pen, brush or spray?

Yeah, sorry it turned into company bashing, but really didn't want anyone to make the same mistake I made.

I've had decent luck airbrushing in small areas like that, VERY light wetsand/blend at...

Re: Paint pen, brush or spray?

I concur, avoid automotivetouchup if at all possible. I order spray paint and touch up paint for my other car, both were not even close. When I questioned them, they said their's was absolutely...

Re: 5spd Transmission problem 1998 SL2

My 2000 Saturn cables were press in, the Dorman was bolt in. The new to me JY ones were press in. From a late 90's SL, can't recall the exact year.

Re: 5spd Transmission problem 1998 SL2

I can vouch from personal experience that Dorman cables are junk. I didn't get 10K out of them before they failed, luckily in my driveway after a 2000km trip. I put a used set of Saturn cables in...

Re: Crossbeam Rust

Me too...I was wondering why the rivet appeared "loose" and found out when I pulled the heatshield. There is no rust on the drivers side end of this channel, only where the heatshield rivet was. I...

Re: Answer as to why my SL burns massive oil and sounds like a go-kart?

Yep, crap, should have noticed that. Tired of the spam here, it does get carried away eh?

Re: Crossbeam Rust

I replaced my straps 4 years ago, but are rusting good again too.

I'll check out the rust reformer - thanks for the link

Re: Crossbeam Rust

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. I always keep an eye out for rust areas, including the front subframe, and touch them up with oil regularly. It's just that this specific spot was...

Crossbeam Rust

Well folks...as our cars get older we naturally start to see issues that may be the death knell of our beloved Saturns.

I am hoping today is not the day. I have done 2 very long trips this last...

Re: Check engine light staying on for a noticeable few seconds after starting

Mine did this 4 years ago - I was concerned but reading through many posts here it seems the oil pump is not prone to failure. I bit the bullet and replaced the oil pressure sending unit and it has...

Re: Intermittent No Crank Issue

I had an intermittent similar to yours...I checked and cleaned all connections between the battery and starter, tried gently tapping the starter, gently wiggling each wire. This, over a period of 3...

Re: replacing serp belt

I ended up making a tool out of a 14mm ratcheting wrench and a piece of 3/16" steel stock. Drilled holes on either side of the wrench, and both ends, then screwed in flat head screws to taper down...

Re: Possible transmission issue?

I changed my front wheel bearings three times in 2 years because of junk. Luckily my garage warranted it. I can't honestly recall what brand they put in last, but it's been good for 8 years now.

I...
