Re: Output Shaft Quill Seal Qs

Thanks for the replies. I tried my hardest to find any stock, as well, and I came up short. I don't have a hydraulic press so I never took the old seal out of the trans. I'm going to get a used trans...

So...

I think I'm screwed but I wanted to check to see if anyone else has any sources I haven't considered.

This weekend I had planned to replace the clutch on my 95 SC2 because it was slipping...

Re: Coupe front end + popup headlights swap to SW?

The body is not the same for all years / styles. The front end of an SC2 with popup headlights can be made to fit but it is not a simple swap. I don't really have much info on it anymore but there...

Re: New 95 SW2

Looks like a nice car! I've been wanting a '95 wagon but I ended up helping my friend buy the nicest one I have seen. Even had a manual transmission and an underbody with no rust. An impossible find...

Re: Water on floors and in trunk

My guess is you are chasing two issues here. A leak in the front and also one in the back. I emailed the TSB to the address you provided. Hope it helps at least somewhat but it is a tough repair...

Re: Cold Start Low Idle...Fuel Mixture Problems?

Necro posting my own thread in case someone finds this by searching in the future and wants to know the resolution. I finally fixed the issue a few months ago. It was sticking lifters. I replaced the...

Re: Water on floors and in trunk

I also had water pooling on the floor in the front of my car that was not caused by the AC drain or sunroof. It was the smile joint on the firewall. The sealant that was used at the factory was not...

Re: Rear brake caliper bracket bolt spec

I did this swap on my SC2 about 10 years ago. Since then I have replaced each rear caliper 3 times and the cables twice because the rear parking brake mechanism design is not very good. I love the...

Re: What do you think of this stereo?

Not sure about that one, but if you are ever concerned about the radio drawing too much power -- you should just run a separate dedicated power line straight off of the battery.

Re: Sunroof won't close!

I found some pictures of the sunroof module. If you want to see bigger versions of these images, you can find them in my user gallery. For some reason I can't figure out how to link them at full size...

Re: Sunroof won't close!

I had the same problem happen to mine. Over time the signal wires for the relay module got loose when their solder joints cracked - probably from the heat of being on the ceiling for 25 years. This...

Re: HELP! Can't get strut back on car!

Just did this last night. Not lowering the car as a birthday gift - but broke a strut mount AGAIN because potholes suck. I've had it lowered for about 6 years now and I keep going through strut...

Good information. I was just thinking about rerunning my rear lines, too. Thanks for the measurement.

Rear Caliper Parking Brake Adjustment

Anybody ever have any luck fixing these things when they stick or don't properly engage? I keep getting replacement calipers and they never seem to work for very long. I failed my state inspection...

Re: Thermal R&D

The reason that they list it as 1997+ is that the 1991-1996 coupes are a bit smaller in length than SLs / SWs (which you were alluding to anyway). From personal experience I can tell you on the 1st...

Re: Saving 25% on every Advance Auto purchase

You can always get 25% off or better from Advance by going to online coupon sites. Not that I like advertising but I always use RetailMeNot.com and they have a 25% coupon every day. Sometimes they...

I had the same problem you did with not being able to find a 95 pod switch with a fog light button. However, if you are handy with a soldering iron you can add the fog light components to your 95...

Re: Extinct Car Day Lawn Show - Oct. 20 2018

Looks like a good time. Hope I can make it this coming year. I just moved to Maine so I'm not too far away anymore... Need to repaint my car first, though, it looks pretty bad with rubberized coating...

Re: Water leak

Two most likely culprits:

1) the smile joint between the firewall and the spaceframe

2) your A/C drain is clogged and the condensation is draining into the car

To fix option 1, it is a pain...

Re: SUNROOF: same part 3rd gen sedan and coupe?

I don't know if the 3rd gens are the same as the 1st, but from what I have seen the SL modules are 1/4" wider than the coupe ones. Long story short--they don't fit. You can swap parts between them...

Re: Shaggin Wagon, 98SW raised floor (rear seat delete)

If you want to run extra audio gear you need to run wiring for it directly from the battery. If you don't run new wires, you'll be sorry. And if you want a really big subwoofer / amp combo then you...
