Probably not the safest thing to do but This is what i would do. Find the leak, cut the line before the leak, Flatten line that goes to brake master cylinder with vice grips then bend the flat part...

Since there is this thing called gravity water runs down not up. Pull the bottom hose or use the drain plug on the radiator.

The orings on the heater core leak sometimes. Take the kick panel off on the front passenger side that is near the hump in the floor to see if carpet is wet.

If you need to use the car until you either get A/C repaired or replaced there is a serpentine belt from an The 2005 Ion that fits without any mods to engine. Rockauto has them.

I had a similar problem on my 4 cylinder car. it turned out to be the output speed sensor in the trans. Also try searching for how to clean the throttle body. it may be dirty.
