Re: Can you tell without lifting it' s leg?

If anyone is actually curious about the specific year to year changes, I always like referring to this.

Re: grey bumper paint

Painting it might look good in the short term, but it probably wont hold up in the long run. Even with a ton of sanding, whatever type of plastic Saturn used for the SL bumpers doesn't adhere well...

Re: Can you tell without lifting it' s leg?

The SCs are a little tricky to tell at a glance compared to the SL and SW. The SC1, I think for the entire run, used body color matching bumpers. The only consistent thing between all SOHCs is the...

Re: S-Series Spot and Shot

Looks like it has black badges as well. Defiantly not a mod you typically seek out to do unless you really like the S-Series. I thought it was an SL2 at first but then I realized it was a 3rd gen and...

Re: Rear Disc conversion

I agree the disc do just feel better in general. Under hard braking, the drums would lock up on and cause the rear to swing out a little. After swapping to discs, all for wheels stop at pretty much...

Re: Diff pin concerns

Hitting a patch of wet pavement, momentarily loosing traction, and then regaling it while at speed would also be a concern but thatís probably unlikely to happen if you are at least somewhat capable...

Re: A2Saturn

Truly is a great loss for the community. Hopefully his family is taking good care of the sl1 for him. Rest in peace, Scott

Re: Airbags 1996 Saturn SL4

pretty sure all S-Series, except fot the 02's with side impact airbags, will go off only in a font end collision since that's the only direction they would actually be beneficial anyway. Both of mine...

Re: What makes the AC not cold enough?

My A/C preformed great before my accident that took out a line to the dryer. Even with a 15 year old charge and a condenser that had the bottom few rows falling out, it would still blow 40 Fahrenheit...

Re: Rear Disc conversion

It's mostly the salt that gets to them. People down south have had much better luck with them over the years. They are kind of a pain to install though imo. You only really have enough room to fix a...

Re: Turning the air resonator into free under hood storage

I knew that the 1st gens had a longer air resonator, But I have never considered if one design works better than the other or not.

Re: Looking for Red fenders and bumper cover for 97 SL2 (Paint code WA9544)

I now see at least one reason why replacing the clock spring is recommended after the air bags go off. My drivers side connector got a little melty, so at the very least Iíll need to solder in a new...

Re: Looking for Red fenders and bumper cover for 97 SL2 (Paint code WA9544)

Thatís HER, thank you very much :upset: (I donít actualy care that much, not like you can really tell over the forums, lol)

Splicing the wires back together is actually going fairly smooth so...

Re: What blower motor is recommended?

I’m currently using a four seasons blower motor, although to be fair, I only bought it because I was able to purchase it for less than $15 on wholesale close out. I don’t know what size cage it has...

Re: Looking for Red fenders and bumper cover for 97 SL2 (Paint code WA9544)

Was able to get a pair of fenders from a junkyard in Road Island today for $75 each. They’re honestly in way better condition than I excepted them to be. Was hard to tell from just looking as a low...

Re: Turning the air resonator into free under hood storage

The resonator actually connects below the air filter, so engine damage wouldn’t be a concern even the pipe that slides into the air box wasn’t blocked off.

Looking for Red fenders and bumper cover for 97 SL2 (Paint code WA9544)

Hey Saturnfans, haven't really been too active the last couple of weeks due to getting into my first major car accident. Everyone was okay, but The damage wasn't exactly minor. I wasn't paying...

Re: Trying to figure out if aftermarket motor mounts still suck in 2021

I've noticed with my mount that has been in use for the last few months now vibrates the interior just about as much as my old OEM was. tbh I wasn't really expecting an aftermarket frowny mount to be...

Turning the air resonator into free under hood storage

A few weeks ago, I was cleaning up the engine bay some and thought that I might remove the air resonator (I think thatís what itís called) that sits above the radiator to free up some space. Itís not...

Re: 2nd gen e brake bracket

Didn't realize at first what piece you where talking about. That bracket the cable slips through could probably be replicated fairly easily with a sturdy enough piece of steel. All it needs it a bend...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Bought a roll of rubber door edge guards (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NT4JGDQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details), not for the doors, but to put on the front edge of my hood. I originally...

Re: 2nd gen e brake bracket

You are also going to need to find a suitable spring for holding the E-Brake cable tension. If you haven't already installed them , I would just return them and look at the product images for a rear...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Swapped a wire with my volt meter and temperature display relay so it will now come on with the key turned to ACC. Previously, it would only come on in RUN with the other electronics I’ve added. I...

Re: S-Series Spot and Shot

Have gotten pics of a couple the last few weeks. I still see mostly 3rd gens driving around with some 2nd gen mixed in. Almost never a 1st gen, but I occasionally do still see a sedan or wagon here...
