Re: Outlook / Traverse / Acadia / Enclave A/C problems

The traverse A/C compressor uses pistons, I took on apart that came off of it a few years ago, I counted 6 cylinders in the back arranged in a circle. I do not know if there are any in the front, the...

Re: Current Saturn prices

The lack of experience buying a functioning vehicle is annoying, and the resulting trips to the junkyards results in the discovery of much nicer non-functioning cars that for reasons I can not...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Replaced the cowl with one in better condition, and connected the hose, the washer fluid now sprays on the windshield, instead of under the hood...

Re: Current Saturn prices

I can only afford non-functioning cars at scrap value, and those usually get sent to the crusher rather than sold to me, many cars in the wrecking yards are always in better condition with fewer...

Re: Off Topic - Waiex 191

Why is the tail of this aircraft V-shaped? I have seen them before, and always wonder why they are different than normal inverted T-shaped tails...

Outlook / Traverse / Acadia / Enclave A/C problems

The outlook shares most of its mechanical parts with the chevrolet traverse, gmc acadia, and buick enclave. This seems to include the A/C system. My mother drives a Traverse. I am already on this...

Re: Me and my saturns

scince the last time I filled the gas tank, I have gone 298 miles, and used 10.209 gallons of fuel, adding up to 29.1899304535 mpg. This needs to improve.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

A 1st gen SL1 that looks like someone was using the hood as a trampoline, and an SL1 that seems to have hit something taller than the bumper, ripping the upper frame rails off.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

No obvious damage, does something fail at 150000 miles?

There is nothing visibly wrong with this SL2

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

The only visible thing wring with this SL1 is the paint on the bumper cover, not worth scrapping it over.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

There is no reason for this SL1 to be here, it did not deserve to die:tear:

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

I have no idea what could have happened to that bumper cover, but I think that is why it was scrapped.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

Look very closely at the duck tape on the fender. The frame rail has a small dent. I think the insurance company totaled it when they saw that.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

This SW2 was obviously in an accident, I do not think it was going very fast, but the airbags had gone off.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

The seat is on the roof, but I do not believe it could have done that kind of damage to this SL2. The trunk is also bent downwards. My best guess is that a tree fell on it. Any other ideas?:D

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

I went to the junkyard "colorado auto and parts" again 2 days in a row, to pull an axel off a jeep. I also got a clock spring for my SC1.

I think this SC1 was scrapped for a broken windshield, the...

Re: Me and my saturns

I parked closer to the nice cars at a car show, just to see if anyone would notice, and had to correct someone that said plastic cars do not rust. "It will just be a pile of plastic panels"

Re: Me and my saturns

I replaced the clock spring yesterday. The 1999 air bag connectors have a slightly different design than the one that appears on 1995-1998 s series, so finding one that fits was difficult, but...
