Re: Upper engine mount available new

Would that mean if we went frowny and did a replacement yearly, like a wearable item, we'd have improved idle vibrations?

Honestly, for me, replacing it is a 10 minute job and I don't mind if it...

Re: Best tires?

Here is what I run during the seasons for my SW2:

Summer: 185/65R-15 General AltiMAX RT43 (@ TireRack for $296.28 w/ installation)
*These were the best value from what I've seen for all-season,...

Re: SL2 2nd Gen Routing Cables to Upper dash for radio install?

Looks good! Unfortunately mine would be a pain to bring in so a permanent setup is required.

In my case I am tall enough where my screen won't obscure the road whether I am sitting 90 degrees...

Happy Re: SL2 2nd Gen Routing Cables to Upper dash for radio install?

Did a test fitting of the radio and bracket with everything connected, apart from losing a washer in the abyss of my dash :hothead:, it went very well. In addition to the screen I also modified the...

Re: SL2 2nd Gen Routing Cables to Upper dash for radio install?

Updating this thread as I don't want to start another and I finally got around to finishing it.

Originally, I wanted to install a double din on the dash that had a touchscreen built in but had no...

Re: Steering wheel controls?

This is good information! Thanks for taking the time to post it, I like the idea of a heated steering wheel too, would be great here up north :D

In terms of the turning, I am pretty sure that the...

Re: Steering wheel controls?

I've gone back to think about this - the clockspring itself is just a long ribbon cable, right? Wouldn't it be possible to exchange the ribbon cable from another model to support additional wires or...

Re: I need, not want, a RHD USPS wagon but can't find one.

I saw this post too, the poster claims it's 1 of 400, assuming postal wagons. Is that true? Were there only 400 SWPs made for the American market?

Also, on the open tailgate picture, is that rust...

Re: I need, not want, a RHD USPS wagon but can't find one.

I see RHD wagons on Facebook all the time, they are usually in rural parts of the midwest or south; they often demand a pretty penny as they are sold to other rural carriers who have trouble finding...

Re: LUK Clutch Master Cylinder now different product?

Quick update to this, the LUK Amazon unit I got as a replacement is the black plastic-type as you would expect; installed it without any issue and have been operating as normal.

If you get the...

Schaeffler has responded to my email regarding the quality:

Re: Automatic Climate Control project

Changed interface to be a simple temperature and picture of where the vent is blowing - the last thing to be added is a switch to control wanted temperature vs. air vent temperature.

Re: Automatic Climate Control project

A new variant of code ready - it is functional but not pretty in terms of visuals or memory efficiency.

Compared to the original one, the logic having three buttons for all 5 vent positions was...

Re: Wagon cargo net?

I'd have to agree that the WeatherTech matt was worth it, it has saved me so much time on cleaning the trunk and keeping it clean.

My SW2 has a net and the top cover, the net is really only useful...

Re: LUK Clutch Master Cylinder now different product?

Welp looks like it has the squeaking problem. I thought it was the clutch pedal squeaking against the pivoting point of the rod, but grease didn't assist with that.

Saw it the night it came out, was really a great movie. Really made me drive down the highway fast on the way home.
