Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Won't stay running after a breakdown and bad...

You say it idles perfectly now ? For how long ?
If it sits and idles "perfectly" for a sustained amount of time then it is doubtful you have a vacuum leak.

I am saying...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Won't stay running after a breakdown and bad...

Actually that is something Brandon could do also.
Only in his case he would want to check cranking vacuum.
Disable the fuel pump, attach vacuum gauge, crank the engine over for 10/15 seconds and...

Have you put a vacuum gauge on it to see what vacuum you are pulling at different RPM's ?

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Won't stay running after a breakdown and bad...

Thanks for the explanation.
On most typical PCV systems the PCV valve removes crankcase pressure, but there is another hose or tube that allows external air into the engine to maintain a fairly...

Rj 2000 LS2;

Can you explain how this "PCV" system works ?

What function does the small line have ?
Where dues the air flow into...

There are several sets on ebay for around $100. Typically a complete set will be at least 4 binders with around 7 different books. Just search for 2001 Saturn L Series factory service manuals.
