Re: Noise Coming From Timing Belt Cover, Rear Sprocket

Better to diagnose what is and forget about what is not otherwise you consider iterations which mean nothing and convolute the works.

Re: Noise Coming From Timing Belt Cover, Rear Sprocket

It may run for another 5,000 miles or quit in less than 10 miles. When our timing belt tensioner failed, we had just driven 200 miles, I noticed a lack of power going down the highway. It was...

Re: Noise Coming From Timing Belt Cover, Rear Sprocket

Remove timing belt cover and inspect the timing belt components.

Re: 2001 LW200 - ABS gone wild?

We had a problem something like that which seemed to be a tire issue. Simple check is to rotate the tires. To this day, if we put the "bad tire" on the frontend, problems return. They are not old...

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

I'd like to include the timer takes into consideration the RPMs. When the timer expires and have RPMs have reached a certain threshold without shifting, the wrench light is turned ON. To reset,...

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

Fdryer, YOU are the person who brought up politics after nearly a year, not me! IT was almost a year since I made a political comment beneath another person's political comment. You Sir, after...

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

This site is full of hypersensitivity. Why Dryer would reiterate and reactivate political speak from a year ago when it was clearly harmless? But, now that he brought it up... it's a crime.

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

FDryer, you are not the arbitrager of fact and the only person talking about politics is you! The information I proved is sound whether you understand it or not. I am simply trying to help a...

Re: 2005 L300 occasionally shifting hard (bad speed sensor?)

I'd like to stress the fact that the code will fire if the car is driven a certain way. I know this for a fact because it happens to our L300 Saturn like clock work.

This is the scenario. When...

Re: L200 RPM Surge with A/C

The one thing you determined is... when the problem is not happening, the car runs normal. It could be an intermittent vacuum leak.

Because the engine is less powerful than a 3.0L, I would look...

Re: Code P301 - 2002 LW300 V6

Ahhh, he did ask specifically, "Please start with the simplest checks/solutions first." Switching injectors is not by far the simplest first! Those recommendations might be good if the vehicle was...

Re: Code P301 - 2002 LW300 V6

The key bit of information you provided is, "it seemed to run better at high speeds". This is a tell tail sign you have a vacuum leak! At high RPMs vacuum leaks disappear. Don't waste time thinking...

Re: Forum is dull

We made two major purchases in 2000 and 2001... A decked out L300 Saturn with all the bells and whistles and a 240HP Seadoo Speedster jetboat. I wasn't satisfied with the Seadoo forums so I created...

Re: L300 shake rattle and roll

I'd lean on CV shaft causing the problem.

Much like a U-Joint replacement on a drive shaft. The drive shaft can be installed in a different orientation and the result is bad harmonics while on...

Re: Forum is dull

Our sunroof looks and works like new. Well, now that I said that it will likely break!

I would be interested to learn more about the sunroof. I look forward to reading your future sunroof thread!

I believe the problem is an intermittent ground loss or voltage loss. You could put a volt meter...

Re: Gas tank shield

Ours was not quite that bad. I wire brushed it and added a bunch of rust spray and then painted it a couple of times.

I found a new/used subframe in TX. Perhaps you could fine a new/used gas...
